Sprint 5 Getting Things Ready for Alpha

Lets talk: The State of!

We are at an alpha state, all systems and enemies are in, It was a tight push, but we are looking good.

All the systems are done, the corruption is finished. The weapons and AI feel excellent, and we have a full set of levels and a final boss. The Initial endless mode is also finished.

Lets talk: What I Did! The Boss, Final Alpha AI Pass, Corruption ETC!

Ranger and Impeder are complete, and they work pretty well. Boss AI battle is good, and the corruption system works, but it is a bit too natural looking, I will update all of these for beta.

 

I also worked on final polish and a lag bug we had, and got those squared away.

Lets talk: What I Did! Keeping Everything Working!

At this point in the game I am making sure everything everyone else implements is working, the UI was having some hiccups, and the save system we implemented also needed some fixing. 

 

It has been one hell of a ride, making sure what 13 people implement works consistently, but it seems to be going smoothly for the most part.  

Lets talk: Setbacks... :(

Yes, there were more issues, again with version control. People aren't being careful enough with implementation and so I usually have to get together with my lead designer to fix things. 

​

The biggest issue right now, however is lack of implementation of work done by my second programmer. It is super noticeable when there are only two programmers, and when he doesn't pull his weight I have to and it has been a super strain on me. Hopefully, he gets his butt in gear because we both have a lot of work to do.
