Final Reflections

The Semester and What I Have Learned
The End Product -
We have one hell of a game. There was a lot of blood sweat and tears, but I genuinely enjoy playing it. I felt like I could have been a bit more efficient or better at communication but that comes later, please enjoy my teams real, and Itch.io release below.

Team Dynamics -
This was pretty good I felt Like I had by the end of the semester I had a good relationship with all of the leads, and most of the people I directly work with except the other programmer.

The Designers pulled their weight, I asked them to program a bit to pick up the slack for the other programmer. AND THEY DID. I got tons of cool and creative content for weapons and endless and it made me really happy.

The Artist all were God Tier I have nothing to complain about, they always got super high quality work done quickly, if you are reading this and are looking for an animator or prop/ environment artist HIGHER THEM.

The Producers were fine, they kept us organized and kept themselves out of the way. I feel like they dropped the ball with social media but we still have some presence.

The Programmer made it feel like I had to do extra work to make the game complete, I kept vouching for them and not putting them on probation and that was my mistake. I feel like they just didn't have the work ethic to do this work.

Overall, It was a great team, and I will most likely update Visualizer a bit over the summer.
What I Need to do Better -
First - Implementation. I was very slow in getting some people's work into the game, or making it easy for people to get their work in the game. I spent too much time on smaller issues and didn't fix big game issues.

Second - Learning when to say no. I took on too much this time around, I felt like I was doing 2 programmers worth of work and it was stressful. I also need to just stop someone from bringing the rest of us down and for their own sake put them on probation.

Third - Finally I always think I could just be better as a programmer, know more about Unity, and more about coding in general. I learned a TON, but I know I can learn a lot more.
Final Takeaway as a Senior -
I have grown a lot as a person and a programmer over the last four years. I definitely feel confident enough to take an entry level position and soar with a bit of time. I think project is a good example of what I have done, and my team has done. Visualize a Goal and achieve it.
